just remember...you can only gain about 5-10 lbs of muscle a year ONLY if your diet it perfect, and more gained would be fat.

Not true. If you’re a newbie just starting you’ll more likely gain muscle much faster about a .75- 1lb per week for about 2-3 months.

If you been always working out you can easily gain .5 lb a week if your diet and workouts are on par.

You have a classic ecto-morph frame; its just genetics. You need to increase your caloric intake and significantly hit the weights. Specifically squats, dead lifts, clean and presses, jerks, etc.

Everyone is different, I have a friend just like you, but he's slightly taller than me and weighs around 130. He tries to hard to get big, but it just doesn't happen and he eats like crazy. I would suggest getting a personal trainer if in your budget.

I'm 5'5 and went from 158 down to 143 in a little under 4 months. Dropping over 15 lbs and gaining a whole lot of lean muscle. Granted I was training under a trainer that competed in NPC and APF Bodybuilding competitions.

I definitely got leaner, but I got bigger at the same time.

The thing is, everybody expects fast results. It takes years and years of workouting and dieting to build muscle.

Or one can do steroids and get the results in half the time.
