Only Admins can ban, so get your blame pointed in the right direction. I have been in every user group (Guest, Member, CO, Moderator and Site Moderator) on S2ki since 2002. Admins have always been the only ones that can ban.

We reviewed the posts, the previous post history and discussed. We agreed and it's done.

 

So you're saying, that had Rosario made the comment that got him banned, in the back lot, that he would not be banned? That you would have just simply deleted the post? Do you see what I'm getting at?


Then perhaps you can answer my question from a few pages back and that still has not been answered:

I've heard initially it was just a suspension until November 7th, but then jumped straight to a permanent ban.

Why is that? Is a PERMANENT ban really necessary? Would a couple month suspension not suffice? What gives?

Not sure what you "heard", but a member status change can be made by 1 admin before a final decision has been made. S2ki and other forums are full of banned members that seem to sign back up, and manage to follow the rules the 2nd time around. Some don't hide it so well, and have been banned multiple times for THE SAME behavior.

 

They did what they felt was right by there so called rules and not what was best for the community. Who ever makes these rules should focus on the scammers and thieves here rather than worrying about sensitive people on a public forum. If folks here are sensitive about comments please sell your s2k and drive a beetle. it's much cuter for you and will fit your sensitive side a bit better

You ever walk into a quality dive bar, and see the sign "Free Beer Tomorrow?" It's like that. . . rosario ain't comin' back. However, so long as there is a forum, there will be entertaining characters who show up.

 

Hypothetically speaking, what's stopping him from creating a new account and joining again, not that he would want to after being kicked in the nuts by the site.

 

They usually block the IP address. That's how we did it when I was moderating another site.
