Default Buffalo Wings

Anyone else on here have cravings all the time for buffalo wings? My personal favorite is the classic boneless buffalo wings from Applebee's.

Since when are boneless wings a classic...The classic wing to me is the original hot vinegar based red sauce on the wings with the bone left in for a handle to eat it on. That includes the drumette and the wingtip.

Mmmmmmm. Wings.

I fried a batch of all drums last night and made a homemade hot/butter sauce. Nice and crispy. Excellent.

That reminds me. Why the hell do restaurants always undercook wings? They should be cooked for 15 minutes minimum at just about as hot as you can get the oil. Soggy, undercooked wings are gross. I only know of about 2-3 places in my area that even come close, and none of the chain's wings are worth a crap.

I'm from Buffalo NY, home of the chicken wing. Anchor Bar on main Street is where the original wings were made. Coated with flour and deep fried. I don't know where thy get their wings, but they are huge!

Sauces come in mild, medium, hot, and suicidal. Normally sold in batches of 25 or 50, served on huge platters. Served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.

If you go there prepare to wait to be seated. Typical corner bar atmosphere but if you get to Buffalo, it is worth the effort to go there.

Now I'm getting hungry.

You can buy Anchor Bar sauce at the grocery store. Good stuff. Roll wings in some cajun spiced flour, deep fry, pour on the sauce and you're good to go.

Never heard of Flannigan wings. What are they? How are they made?

(Still hungry)
