One piece of advice. My neighbors sone is only a few hours away from getting his license. Several students paid for their lessons in advance (tuition) and the school closed and they are out their money. Go to a reputable school, don't pay any more in advance than you have to, and maybe pay with a credit card so you can dispute charges if you get screwed.

 

I thought about that, and there is still a slight possibility that I'll go that route (I'm in the Air Force already), the only problem is I'm only about half way done with my BS but I'm 32 so I'll be pretty close to the age cut off.

If I knew how much I enjoyed flying helos I would have gone that route 10 years ago.
