Well, actually.....Superman explained one time that his suit is not suppose to get damaged because he emits a small inpenetrable (sp?) force field around himself. Therefore technically his superhero outfit would hold no benefit over his civies in terms of heat resistance.

Also remember his original costume was made by his mother who was a country farmer so I seriously doubt she had special materials to construct it from.

Disclaimer: Although the above are true facts from memory I also remember epsiodes where Superman had his suit torn. So who knows.

 

Superman can travel back in time, therefore he could arrive before he left and as such would be faster than anybody could ever imagine.

Just for the record, Spiderman is the coolest super hero.

 

i love the episode of SNL when the rock was the host and they were making fun of superman...

he had on a bad suit and you could obviously see his superman outfit underneath...that was funny stuff

 

Boba Fett looked totally cool. He was my favorite action figure. I used to put my mom's sewing string across the room and thread it through his blaster-holding hand so he could slide down the string. Was a lot of fun until the friction burned through his fingers

I was so pissed when he got eaten by that sandworm thing in Return of the Jedi! And on top of that, his suit was what killed him!!

 

That reminds me of a episode when Sinbad was hosting the show. It was during the time when Superman died, and they did a skit where all the superheroes where at Supermans funeral. Did anyone else see that skit? It was freakin hilarious, Sinbad was there as a made up character known as Black Lightning.

 

Superman never had time travelling capabilities!!! He did "rewind" time once in order to change events, but this was not really true time travel.

As for Nachtmeister's comments.... I appologise for the personal attack on Germans, but can you confirm whether it is you that keeps reserving space with your towel at the beginning of threads ready for when you want to make a post??

Check out Smallville on the WB (Tuesday 9pm and on Sundays at 7pm I think. Last week's episode Clark Kent who is not yet Superman was floating above his bed.

He's just starting to understand his superpowers. Very cool show IMO.

 

You guys don't read comics to often do you! It's all a mute point, Superman is dead!! Action and Marvel Killed him off years ago.

 

Wait.. I thought Superman came back to life!!! No? Hmm.. must be confusing it with Spiderman. I was really into Spiderman when I was younger....
