There is only one way to combat this conundrum and that is battle it with another lie.

I would say to her that he is dropping out from med school due to the talk of socialized medicine under an Obama presidency and that it would be impossible to recoup not only the massive med school loans, but also to make a living as a doctor, and that he is falling back to his profession he did while paying for school. This gets him back into reality and not fantasy...sort of.

Umm, I don't see the words "hit it and quit it." As such, I'm chalking this up to FAIL.

That was my first thought. The only way to effectively guard yourself from the consequences of a lie is to bury that lie under a massive pile of new lies.

A guy lies to get into a chick's panties. Man, that's NEVER happened before.

It's his problem. Let him ask the questions.

Cliff notes:
Boy has hot girlfriend
Other boy likes her
Other boy setting up for the cock block.

He'd also have to tell her Obama rescinded his degree from a school which he never attended. That's where it gets tricky.

He has to tell her quickly. The longer this goes on, the worse it'll be later.

He can preface it by making it seem like he's going to tell her that he has a wife and kids in Oregon... she'll be relieved it's just about career!

Seriously, she might be relieved he won't be a huge financial drain with tuition / residency.

Or she might say, "I have something to tell you too.... I'm a MAN, baby!"

to answer the thread question...yes u can trust him. lying to get laid is a perfectly acceptable move. however, trying to start a relationship is a different story.

hit it and split it.
