It was pretty pathetic of him to lie in the first place. Just my .02 cents.
A cousin of mine moved to Texas from California not too long ago. As soon as we got back into contact with one another, he began telling me that he purchased a brand new IS-F and that he had been modifying it for quite some time. Just last week, his younger sister came for a visit and I asked her about her brother's IS-F. She looked puzzled and said, "He doesn't own an IS-F. He bought an '02 IS300."
I called him and asked him why he was lying and his response to me was, "Because you're always acting like you're bad ass in your S2000, so I thought I might as well lie that I have a better car!"
We haven't spoken since then.. It's only been a few days, though.

lying to girls to pick them up is a bad thing.
If your friend is confident and plays it right he could make things work out with her, but theirs always going to be that "you lied to me", that can be brought up in every little fight.

You know what's the most interesting thing that stands out about this situation...It's the various responses geared toward solving this situation lol.
So I called and spoke to him last night and he's a little bent out of shape about it. He said he's feeling guilty, and the situation is eating him up. He plans on telling her this weekend after they head out on a date. We'll see if that happens lol. The fellas are hanging out tonight to discuss this. Honestly I think he should tell her before the date. Maybe he thinks after having a good day together and then telling her, it may soften up the hit when he tells her.
