We weren't even a country yet.

And we torched the White House.

Haha!
Basically, it was a battle between the very young America and the established British forces. Isaac Brock was a British general too.

All I'm saying is, it was ancient history and America was barely established. Now, it's a different matter.

Go on over across the border some night to a bar. Any bar. And start telling them how tough we are.

Get your return address tatooed on your ass first though, tough guy.
Sure, but I need the whole U.S. military with me then.

I didn't say I was tough. I said the country.

You don't think? It would be like a child fighting against Superman.
Unless they stopped at a Canadian bar just across the border. That Canadian beer would probably defeat them.

And you think Canada will be exempt in a worldwide financial crisis? Sooner or later, it will be felt. The thing is, the U.S. is at the top of the financial chain, so when a financial crisis hits, it'll affect the top first, then run down the chain. Smaller, less significant countries will feel it later, rather than sooner. When a worldwide financial crisis hits, top countries such as the U.S. and Japan will feel it first. The world's financial center is Wall Street. Is that in Canada?

What things are only getting better in Canada? Such as higher crude oil prices? Intelligence much?

Fact is, the U.S. is superior in almost every way. If anyone thinks otherwise is either a stubborn fool or ignorant dunce.

Go here to compare the financial and military powers, and other stuff:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States

Canada is better suited to be compared to Italy, South Korea or a similar country, instead of to the world's only Superpower or Hyperpower. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superpower

We're all fine. Thanks for asking. How's that three decade long high unemployment rate treating you? We haven't caught up yet. And despite the fact that we accumulate almost $2 billion in debt every single day, our GDP to debt ratio is still lower than yours

Some ignorant people think certain countries are exempt from a financial crisis if it affects the U.S. Simple way to think of it, when the top piece of a domino-chain-effect falls, all pieces will fall. That's the thing with being at the top. The good and bad affect the top first.

Too bad we always play the world's hero by fighting wars - Vietnam war, Korean war, and many other wars thereafter.

Well I'm not going to call anyone ignorant, and actually the banks in Canada weren't that stupid and didn't involve themselves in the whole fiasco at hand.. but the effects will still be felt. Europe, Aus, Japan are all tanking right along with us.. won't be long before Canada is dragged into a ditch. What country exactly do they depend on to buy their exports? Yea, we buy over 80% of your total exported garbage.. And you depend on us for about 70% of your imported goods.. so you better wise up if you don't think you're dependent on the economy here.
