^^^ THat's the deal I have and find it very convenient. I like the fact that I can go to a b&m store to get a movie and not have to pay additional $$$ for it. BB however also employs the "throttle" technique.

With Blockbuster online, you can ask them to ship the next movie on your Queue the day after you sent a movie back to them.

If I mailed them a movie yesterday, I would check my queue late morning or noon today, if it did not clear my queue, I will click on "Report DVD Issues" and select "I returned the DVD but it has not cleared my queue", then on next screen select "ship the next movie in my queue".

So far, they shipped out all the movies very fast and I usually get the next movie on the third day after mailed it back.

A drawback with Blockbuster online is they do not have as many new releases as in store. But with one free movie coupon per week, we can go there to get the new releases.

I am happier with Blockbuster than Netflix.

I switched to Netflix because my local stores didn't have what I was looking for (I rent artsy-fartsy and foreign movies). Or, worse, they'd say they carried it in the inventory, but it wasn't actually there.

What I have never gotten was this notion that if one subscribes to Netflix that somehow there's going to just automatically be more of <insert popular movie here> and that delays and all the headaches of going to an actual store have changed? For instance, my biggest complaint is the fact that some of these DVD's are HOSED when I get them. But, then again, it's usually a popular movie that has is overly-scratched. "32 Short Films on Glenn Gould" didn't have a scratch.

I'd be curious to see a per-movie breakdown of delays.

Regardless, I think the legal department at Netflix should just be stoned publicly. Caveat Emptore aside, using the word "Unlimited" was a bad choice of words. "Convenient" "Large Library" were my selling points.

We noticed our services from Netflix got slower after the first 2 months. At that time, we were going through like 20 DVDs a month. Now, we are lucky if we got 13 to 15.

"Unlimited" certainly is not the right word to use, when Netflix is using the 'throttling' method. But then again, 17.99 for 13 DVDs still beats trips to Blockbuster and wasting time standing in line.
