Cell phone comparison
Okay, the Sony has cool features and is a semi-walkman. It comes with 20mb intermal memory and a 128mb memory stick. The Motorola is slimmer and I liked the reception and voice quality I got with a previous Motorola phone, but the internal memory is only about 5mb and has a expansion slot for memory but none is included. The LG is more of an "IT" item right now and has a nicer display than both, with 512mb of memory, but I haven't had good experience with the voice quality on less expensive LG phones.
I don't want this to be a debate on which carrier is better; this is simply a phone question. It will be a gift.

haha, i just bought the w810i.
very cool phone, good solid feel(actually, very solid feel), mp3 player, fm radio, camera, etc etc. i did like how easy it was to add custom pics to the wallpaper. i use a mac and never communicate my phone to my computer so it was nice i could just plug in the included 512 card and upload/download pics. it was .1" thicker than the razr.
i came from a razr. i love the 810i so much. there is a few things you should know about it though. the call quality was not as good as my razr, but not bad by any means. the supplied headseat is a little clumsy and uses the same port as the charger, but it also doubles as the FM antenna.
also, the light on the phone does not go off if you are on a call, so i programmed one of the buttons to the calculator and i press it on long calls so i don't drain the battery.
the phone doesn't idle, meaning if you have it on a screen, and you don't go back to the main menu, it won't time out and go back to the main menu on its own, it stays there til you manually go back.
it does have a decent camera phone at 2 megapixels and a pseudo flash.
despite the above, i still love the phone. the k790 is pure sicknesssssssssss but was out of my budget and a little large for my liking. i know when the next revision of the w810i comes out, i will keep my eyes open.
