Much to my better half's dismay, we watched the two hour premier last night.

Not all that bad, IMO. I'm not sure that I'm down with the communications officer or the doctor yet. I found both characters pretty damned annoying.

However, all is well when you consider the Vulcan lady. Just so happens I got my Maxim in the mail yesterday when I got home from work so I could thumb through the pages during commercial breaks. Dayummm that woman is very, very hot.

Nice little scene there with the lotion.

Yeah, the lotion scene was awesome. I guess it was suppose to be pretty cold in there too, since her things were pretty perky.

The funny thing is, they had an underwear scene for the ladies too a few minutes later.

Maybe that's how they'll keep all of us interested in the show. Lot's of nice scenes like that.

Why were they applying lotion on each other?

Man she needs to go eat something. She looks like a swizzle stick! Damn J, if she had breast implants I would hate to have seen her without them. Hell they might have sunken in! Now then, them lips look like she had the right idea. She needs a little more fat on her. Body engineering, like no other!

the lotion i think was soap, they were inthe shower.

the comm officer was annoying, but i think she could grow into the part. When i watch early episodes of TNG i think it's cheezy (not being blasphemous, i watch them over and over and over...) but look how they grew into their roles just after a single season.

a point on history - wasn't our first contact with the klingons what set off the war between us? I wish there was more on that in the episode.

Also I hope that the temporal cold war crap isn't played out too much. I can totally see them being stupid and having that be like Q from TNG. that would suck donkey nuts.

Much like I would like to suck on that vulcan chick! yummmy!!!!

I think your right....but what the hell, I'm sure they're going to have to take some creative license. Look at the ship, its better looking than the original.

Another historical glitch: haven't they made a point that Vulcans don't use contractions? I was hard pressed to find a sentence where she didn't use one. Oh, well, what you lose on the swings you make back on the roundabout.

Another historical 'glitch'.....wasn't there an original Star Trek episode(Kirk) in which the crew finds Zefram Cochran on a planet young and alive? If the timeline holds true, Zefram Cochran should be long dead by Kirk's time.

I need to get a life.
