King Taco anyone?

I'll take the 80 miles to Chick-Fil-A over the 344 miles to the King Taco on Cypress.

not a fan of Popeyes...had it once, didn't think much of it.
I agree, I have had it a couple of times and don't see all the big deal, overpriced and not all that good.

You know what REALLY, REALLY pisses me off about Chick-fil-A??

Why is the Grilled Chicken Sandwich some processed piece of chicken??

I mean, for LESS money, you can get the deep fried "original" chicken sandwich...but for MORE money (and a healthier option) you get some nasty piece of chicken on a bun.

It's gross. Yet I always order the damn thing because, 1. I'm trying to eat healthier... and 2. I hate that taste of the peanut oil they use on the fried chicken sandwiches... and 3. Because it's quick, easy and the folks are typically quite friendly.

I like that the original owner, Cathy Truitt, is a devout Southern Baptist man and I love seeing their stores CLOSED on Sundays...it's great that a fast food restaurant has some values.

I love it that every response of an employee is "My Pleasure" versus "You're Welcome." I really feel like a GUEST in their restaurants. And when I pay with my debit card, they call me BY NAME. Can you believe that?? The ONLY other place I get that is at Nordstrom and I have never spent $7 at Nordstrom.
The deep fried one is not really deep fried. They brown it and then finish cooking it all the way through in a pressure cooker so the "fried" ones are still okay for you. Not near as bad as a regular fried chicken sandwich.

A tad bit pricey I suppose, but the quality, experience, and environment usually make it worthwhile.

I disagree, I grew up in the SE and now live in the Pac NW. The service, at least in "real" resturants is poor at best. I have been to places where I feel like I am an inconvinience to the waiter.
SE isnt nearly as bad as the NE (ie. Philly, NJ, NY, CT, etc..)
