The Christmas (or Holiday) thread.
my favorite time of the year also. i'm one of those idiots that listens to those radio stations that play christmas music all day.
i truly love giving gifts. i always go all out getting the best gifts i can for as many people i can. i max out my credit card every year.
we used to have a tradition where christmas eve really really late at night like around midnight, we would go out to the tree lots that are closed and grab the best tree that they have sitting outside ready for the trash.
free trees!
then we'd rush to fully decorate it that night and open gifts at like 3 am.
it all started when my sister and her significant other come to town at the last minute and was like "you guys dont have a tree?!!?"
i was debating getting a tree for like 3 days untill it was too late....or was it?
nothing wrong with a one sided tree. we'll just face the bad part aginst the wall.
the thing that made me love the holiday season...... family

I'm with everyone on here when they say its their favorite time of the year. Something happens to everyone (except in malls or any place that can be shopped at) where everyone's attitude just changes. People start to become more polite and more courteous to others anywhere you go.
Its just sad because my Dad isn't much of the traditional celebrating type, and my Mom works almost every major holiday (obviously the pay is rewarding) so I'm always looking for another family to spend Christmas with. Luckily I have the best friends in the world and they're always welcoming whether it be Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other major family-oriented holiday. Its nice to experience the full effect of the holidays but it'd probably mean a bit more to me if it were my own family.
