I have built way to many computers with both cards and have never had good luck with the ATI. Neither has the other three guys at work. Real world results. It is like the R&D at work for vibration reduction. Just because you can graph a difference doesn't mean squat to a pro baseball player or a pro tennis player. If you can feel the difference then it counts. When putting the two cards side by side in my builds the ATI loses 99% of the time. I don't want to get in a pissing match with you over wich card is better. It is similar to why by a ford over a chevy. I won't go there. Thanks for the opinion. Any test that is done is skewed by the operator of the test. Nothing is totally bias.

Steve C,

Make some phone calls to those that build nothing but gaming computers and ask. Alienware or Falcon would be a good start then come back and talk to me.

you know why 5900 are still being used in those gaming machines?

because the 5900/5600, when using dx8 instead of dx9, can match ATIs performance. but when under dx9 the 5900/5600 are no match for the 9800/9600
and since most games only run dx8 nowadays, you can hardly tell the difference. but run the demos with dx9 you will see a huge difference.

not to mention nvidia cheated the 3dmark bench mark score with their driver when dealing with dx9.

above reasons made me choose ati and most people use ati b/c when games require dx9 come out, I dont need to upgarde to a dx9 capable card.

Falcon also uses the ATI cards. My friend bought one from them. It is an outstanding machine with a well put together heavy duty set-up. Lots of fans and a sturdy case for the system. Like they expect you to run it 24 hours. His ATI card runs good numbers but with the same components in our Comtrollers computer the Nvidia squashed it. Don't know why but like I said before it is what you want Ford or Chevy.
