Default Computer help needed.

This is kind of a dumb question, but it is bugging the bejeebers out of me and so I have to ask. I'm sure there are many people on this board who can help (please don't make me fill stupid when you answer ).

When I open up my internet browser, it always defaults to 'max-out' my monitors screen; however, when I click on a link the new browser window is tiny. It is real tiny. How do I get my browser to default to the 'maximum screen' when I click on a link?

Thanks in advance.

Mystery to me. I guess I'm just used to it. I sure wish the advanced button actually did something advanced. Someone hardcode all these parameters because I guess we are too stupid to set them ourselves. Microsoft is like the government, protecting us from ourselves.

I think I just figured it out.

Whatever size the window is the last time you manually changed the size of the window is what it will default open up to (i.e. you put the cursor on the botom corner of the window and the cursor changed to an arrow thingy and you changed the size of the window).

So whatever size you left your window at is what it will default to when you click the middle button at the top right, or click on a link.

Here is how you do it. First , open your web browser which should open to the maximum size . Find a link and open it by right clicking on it and selecting 'open in a new window'.
Close the original window then manually resize the small window to the size you want. After it is re-sized to your liking close it by pressing Alt-F4. From now on all links you click on should open to the maximum size.
