My ancestors fought for the right for all of us to be free, protected, and to travel about without restrictions and burdensome laws. The only way to ever protect those rights is the rights of the citizens to overthrow the government in the event it loses touch with the people. The only way you could ever overthrow a government is to be armed and capable of doing so. NEVER forget that the Germans, long before they started putting people in prison camps, started rounding up all the guns.. House to house searches, with no legal protections to stop them, they made sure that prior to "cleansing" they had to disarm the very people they planned to eliminate. That is how it starts, and NEVER let anyone tell you different. The pansy liberals that tout gun control don't have a friggen clue as to the importance of a people able to bare arms and protect life and property.

Example: IF tomorrow guns were illegal, not a few, ALL GUNS.. think about this for a minute.......................... would your life be safer?????

NO.. so if they make guns illegal who do you thing will own them????? Guesses anyone... Yes Robbie, you are correct... And just what do you expect a woman to do without a gun while driving out of town and I/she breaks down or whatever, and someone is stopping to "help"? Maybe I could hit him/her with my cell phone. But... I would be truly free... and dead.

 

Well, guns are highly regulated here and we have much lower per capita violent death and accidental death rates than the US.

I'm not opposed to guns. I grew up with them and have done plenty of sport shooting. I don't currently own a gun and am very glad I don't feel the need to have one. I know many people that wish they had guns, but they're mostly the ones that by my estimate probably shouldn't.

You may think I'm wrong, but I'd rather live here than the place Black Nugget is describing.

I hope you plan on taking the gun with you every time you leave the car. We just had a case in Springfield MA where 3 punk ass kids stole a car that had a gun in it. They proceeded to use a bus with passengers and a car or two as target practice. Fortunately, no one was hurt and they didn't have a good supply of ammo. Had they not been caught, it would have been one more now illegal gun on the street.

It has to be completely out of reach of the passenger. When riding alone that is where i will be leaving it.
