I hope you plan on taking the gun with you every time you leave the car. We just had a case in Springfield MA where 3 punk ass kids stole a car that had a gun in it. They proceeded to use a bus with passengers and a car or two as target practice. Fortunately, no one was hurt and they didn't have a good supply of ammo. Had they not been caught, it would have been one more now illegal gun on the street.

wow, glad to hear that no one was hurt in that situation. However yes, when i leave my car i do take it with me, unless however i am entering a place where it is not allowed (religious establisment, federal building, or business that has a "No Weapons" sign).. in that instance i lock it in the glove box.

And just what do you expect a woman to do without a gun while driving out of town and I/she breaks down or whatever, and someone is stopping to "help"? Maybe I could hit him/her with my cell phone. But... I would be truly free... and dead.
It's not the guns that frighten me. It's that outlook (justified or not). I'd hate to live somewhere where a mechanical failure was potentially life threatening.

Don't get me wrong, there are bad people here. It's just that if someone (male or female) were to break down here the expectation is that they would get help and be on their way. Not that they would have to fight off hoards of slavering maniacs.

I'm not sure what the actual difference is. I know Michael Moore thinks it's a result of media sensationaloism and he might be part right.

Seriously, would you rather live somewhere where you have this level of fear and the right to pack a gun, or somewhere where you don't have these fears and don't carry a gun. Unfortunately when most people move they pack their fear with them.

Remember, I didn't say I oppose your laws, I just said I pity you for needing them.

Example: IF tomorrow guns were illegal, not a few, ALL GUNS.. think about this for a minute.......................... would your life be safer?????
Hrmmm... Well guns are legal now, and I survive fine without owning one. Therefore, making guns illegal would make no change to my safety level, except perhaps increasing it? That's debatable of course.

business that has a "No Weapons" sign
Where can I get one of those signs? That would get one hell of a laugh here.

I would mount your gun on the floor, in between the clutch and the brake. Aim the gun forward. There is a finite chance you will accidently shoot yourself in the crotch -- but the world will be a safer place if you don't have offspring.

I personally have never seen one, however was told through classes that if a business does have that sign, then you are not permitted to have a weapon inside.

As much as i'd love to, i personally have not had the chance to travel the world. However speaking with friends that have, I can guarentee there are several countries that have much more crime & violence than the US does.

Well, AusS2000, are you serious? Pity? You pity the entire United States?? I bet those Aborigines children wished they had guns in the 30's.

hmm, i would say get mcguyver to make a cool secret compartment in the center console. where you hit the hazard switch and teh pistol pops out. itd be like james bond!

but seriously, i don't blame you for wanting to carry a gun. the S is a nice car, and sometime people want nice thing that dont belong to them. especially in houston.

/me cant wait to turn 21 (got it all planned out, buy a pistol (P99), sing up for concealed hg course, join the freemasons, then buy a 5th of jack. Itll be one hell of a halloween )
