Yeah I see what you mean. It's just when you see the guy from Metallica playing a Metallica song...well it's just special, especially when it's a one on one type situation.
I can't wait for my copy of Crossroads to arrive from BB Online. I'll just have to FF it to the last 30mins.

i came across this today ... check out this kid soloing to Pachelbel Canon. he may not be a joe satriani or buckethead, but i'd be pretty happy if i had his skills 
Pachelbel Canon solo
some of it is repetitive (it is pachelbel canon, after all), but he's got some nice runs in there, and there is an interesting modal (?) change at about the 3:51 mark.
