Corvette Forums Are Funny
I didn't buy my car to impress Corvette owners (or anyone else for that matter).
It's really too bad some feel the need to prejudge others based on something as insignificant as car selection.
I will say that IMHO a true sports car enthusiast can appreciate others' selections and at the very least have respect for those that have a slightly different interest in cars. Apparently some on that particular forum are not sports car enthusiasts (We've got our share too.).

I'll refrain from stereotyping Corvette owners as that would only bring me down to their level. It's their loss, not mine, as we could have shared our common interests for sports cars.
Having said all that... I think many here at S2ki would find the Easter CR S2000 just as funny.
I find that many American car fans tend to be very one-dimensional, car wise. Solstice fans tend to be SOLSTICE fans, not CAR or SPORTS CAR or ROADSTER fans. Same with Corvettes. Unless it's a newer Corvette (or a new Chevy truck), they just aren't interested. There are some Corvette/Solstice guys who really like all cars, I know, but there seem to be more one-marque guys on that side of the fence than with any other brand. I mean, I may only plan to BUY Hondas, but I can still respect and be knowledgeable about BMWs, Porsches, Corvettes, Miatas, Mercedes, etc etc. Corvette guys seem to wear their ignornace about non-Corvettes as a badge of honor.
I dunno, just how it seems to me.
I dunno, just how it seems to me.
