Gm has nothing that interests me cept the Vette which ios a bit out of my price range.

They should redesign the Camaro and make it a bit shorter, kinda like the Mustang. Its way too big right now and visibility is bad out of it. If they did a retro to the 67-69 models with an LS1 I would buy one. My $0.02

Agreed! I have never owned an American car, and don't think I ever will. I just don't like their quality.

I have owned American cars with the following results
- 77 Camaro 4sp 135k miles, no problems. My brother flipped it one morning on our way to HS at 65mph. Not a scratch on either of us. It still had the original clutch

- 91 Cavalier Z24 140 k miles. Broke once, after 9 years the power steering lines burst. All I did was replace wear items (tires, brakes, struts, etc.) Donated to the the Red Cross. Great car

- 98 Cavalier 24 62K miles. I've had to replace the water pump at 58 k miles. No trips to the dealer for warentee repairs. I just replace the original Goodyear tires (62K miles!). Oh yeah I put on a new set of brakes before a track day (55k miles). Great car

- 85 Corvette 4+3 Purchased used in 97,I had the car for four years. I fixed a $27 switch in the overdrive unit and a leaky fuel injector. The ignition module was starting to go last summer (wouldn't start when hot) so when the insurance was up; I donated it to the Red Cross. I was a very fun and scary car.

Sure people have problems with American cars, but I know people who've had troubles with imports. A friend has his NEW Merc back to dealer three times. *All* of my American cars haven't been to the dealer three times for warrantee repairs
