December 2001 Road & Track: 350Z, Civic Si, and more
I just got my December 2001 issue of R&T. . . The feature article is on Nissan's new 350Z. Love or Hate it, this car is going to sell. Nissan is claiming that it will do 0-60 in 6.0 and cost less than $30K. Whereas I wouldn't sell my S2K for one, I'm definitely thinking about one as a daily driver to replace my Prelude (and keep me happy until the '03/'04 NSX). . .
In addition to the article on the Z, there's an article on the Civic Si & an article on tuned versions of the M roadster & SLK. To bad they didn't include one of the Supercharged or Turbocharged S2000s in the article. . .
Happy reading.
By the way, the issue also has a photo of the redesigned Tiburon. . . Not bad looking (especially given the 10 year warranty). . .

why the hell does a civic Si weigh in at 2800lbs???? (I think the weight is actually quoted in Car & Driver )
My 93 Civic Si was about 2350. That is 450lbs of beef added...but the car is about the same size!!!
350Z looks neat, but too heavy in my opinion.

so the altima has 40 less hp, weighs more, and the 0-60 time difference is that minimal? frankly I'm not impressed by 6.0.
is a turbo version really coming out? i hear different answers.
is there room in the engine bay?
