DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, has been found dead in his apartment in New York, according to entertainment website TMZ.
The popular website reported police sources as saying the 36-year-old was found in his apartment around 5:20 pm on Friday (local time).
They say there was drug paraphernalia at the scene.

I remember all too well what happened just a year ago. When that plane crashed in SC after a T-Mobile performance we had set up in Columbia. I remember reading it on my BlackBerry and thinking, HOLY SHIT! 
Only DJ AM and Travis Barker survived the crash.

Wow...in searching for that info on the SC plane crash, I came across where DJ AM was suing Learjet for $20 million. WTF??

He had a, I guess you could say, "second chance in life." He threw it away just to get high for a few minutes.
