Yup, I've always had a habit of opening girls car doors, opening doors to building, etc. It is very interesting the reactions I've gotten from it which made it kind of clear that nobody they've been out with before has done that. Definitely something they appreciated though.

Single now, but with my ex of several years she was not into flowers, pushing in chairs, opening car doors etc unless it wasn't awkward to do. If it meant she had to wait she'd do it herself with no hard feelings. Best thing was definitely how much she hated flowers and thought they were a pointless waste of money. Woo hoo more money for drinking.

my mom raised me right, so I generally hold doors open when I can, its a karma thing, and the S door is often opened because people seem to love to slam it,

but christ my guy friends are worse than girls by far, its like a door slamming contest among them... pisses me off...

I almost always do it when I'm in the S, just because I don't want her opening/closing it by the window.

However, even when I'm in some other car, I'll generally open the door for a girl if she's my "companion" or date. If it's a long-time friend, I'll generally only do it if we're approaching the car from that side anyway and it's convenient.

I try to be a gentleman when I can, but sometimes I just forget.

You start by marrying your best friend.
