Your account can go in to negative with Paypal, as mine did by 56 cents somehow. They pursued me for this money for quite some time, and wouldn't allow me to transfer it in from my credit cards or bank accounts. Instead, I had to get a money order (cost me about $5) and sent it to them. They never logged it properly and as a result I haven't used Pay Pal in years.

I don't think you'd want them coming after you for a few grand, they were bad enough with me owing them less than a buck.

 

My Dad lives in Canada and regularly purchases items and has them sent to my address in Texas. I then forward the items to him. Some of the items are small and inexpensive but plenty of others have been high dollar items (Satsuma art pieces, Porsche racing parts, wheels, etc, etc). Most people have no problem with that, though it's usually through Ebay and both he and I have excellent feedback history.

 

COD through UPS. The buyer has to pay the UPS person when the propduct arrives. Both buyer and seller are protected. I've done this several times.

 

get a money order or cashiers check, CASH IT. wait a week, then call it good, too many ways people have been screwing others with scams...
