Run your own small business - easiest way to find out what kind of person you are. Tons of job security (people who don't run their own business never get this) since you won't fire yourself. The numbers indicating business failure rates are messed up because they don't count for people who go belly up 10 times before making it. Tons of fun too. Become an employee in a certain field if you need to get trained first, and then go out on your own. People who start small businesses never starve to death. They either give up and take some employee job they would have gone with anyway, or they keep trying and end up not knowing what to do with the money.

Finish your college degree - you need to be educated and you never know what direction it will take you.

Don't go for the prestige jobs - lawyer, physician, etc. The money is lower than you'd think, the work is harder than you'd think and the job satisfaction is low. Read The Millionaire Next Door if you're focused primarily on the money.

was it the smartest move to get a s2k with my salary at 8.42 a hour.......

YES!!!! Because im 18, live with my parents, am a full time student, and have no bills except insurance, gas, payment. I bought my car for 16500 with 58k miles, new clutch, and put 6,000 down payment, i financed around 10k or so.....my car payment is 285. a month for like 4 years at 6% interest. My insurance is 263 a month for full coverage. All in all my s2k with gas and all cost me at least 650 a month...i make 1100 full time....so i have enough each month to get goodies.

No point to living ifyou aint enjoying it. Ill die before going back to a kia or something of that nature

I like my job. Like any other, there are moments that I don't, but I think I could be happy doing it the rest of my life.

High school math teacher.

My insurance was exactly thee same untill recently. I do not drive my car to work so I listed it as a pleasure vehicle. My insurance is now only 110 a month. Maybe you should look into this. Just a suggestion. I hated giving all that money away every month.

only problem with making your s2k pleasure covered in insurance is....if you get in a accident and you have put on more than the annual amount of miles conisdered a "pleasure" mileage amount, they wont cover your accident

I only drive 200 miles a month unless I take it on a trip. I walk to work it is great.
