I own and run an environmental services firm (see my sig). I've been happy as a pig in slop for going on 17 years. I make lots of money and really enjoy what I do. I learn something new every day and I feel like I'm doing something positive for God's green earth. my job.

Could you elaborate a little on this. i have been thinking about looking into recycling type businesses (tv's, computers, etc). I Think I could make a lot of money in this field.

1. If you work hard, you'll just be given more work.
2. Work smart.
3. Do what you love, the money will follow.

Honestly, while you are "trying to find yourself"......you might want to do the same job, but on a higher level. No-one likes to change tires on grandmas buick, but you might enjoy it a bit more if you were doing 911 turbos and Ferraris all day long. Look around, and see if any good performance shops are hiring. Maybe some custom wheels shops, etc.

As for my living, I have a Restaurant/Bar consulting company. I eat, hire, fire, train, analyze, etc all aspects of that world. Not something everyone can do, but I certainly dont complain.
Or better yet, go to some tech school and get an AA degree in Mechanical Tech and work for BMW or Porsche dealers. I know they make good money :-) and after a couple of years or whenever you felt like you know more than enough, open your own shop to fix High End car. start your own little race team and buit it up.

I really love where I'm working right now. Unfortunately, I was brought on as a temp to hire and they decided to go with another candidate so my last day is Tuesday.
