Everytime I go somewhere with a girl or even a group of girls I feel obligated to pick up the tab and pay for it. I don't know... It seems to be more gentleman like. Or when I'm with a girl I feel like I am their bf and I end up paying for the tab. What do you guys do? Do you guys pick up the tab? Do you guys expect anything in return? Or do you just pay for yourself and think nothing of it? I mean I don't mind paying for the girl even if we are just friends and are not even dating. As long as she offers to pay then that shows that she cares about you.

as for girls you are dating, yea, it is the socially acceptable thing to do... doesn't mean you have to pay 100% every time. esp. if you've been dating awhile.

 

When at a bar w/ female friends, I treat them the same as I do my guy friends. If I buy a round, I expect them to buy the next round. No big deal.

When I'm at a bar with a girlfriend/date, I pay the tab, unless we've been dating long enough to have a cost-sharing arrangement in place.

 

with female friends, I split the bill unless I'm trying to make the just-friends -> more-than-friends conversion.

one friend in particular, I was trying to get somewhere with, but its not going anywhere, so I stopped paying for her shit.

 

Don't pay unless you are taking someone out for a special occasion. Nobody expects you to pay for them and if they do they are assholes. Nobody but a whore would sleep with you because you bought them a few drinks. Do you really want to be sticking your dick in a $20 whore?
