Does anyone on this board own an exotic car?

I'm not complaining. Those pop up headlights were ok when they weren't in use, but otherwise I'll take the redesign every time.

I don't care what anyone say, a Ferrari is definitely an exotic car.
Hopefully I will get to have one in my garage before 30. KAMcDonald can I get a test drive in the 360? I'll let you get a lap with my Type R

there is a guy in Colorado (something like Brynes for his last name) who takes his shogun to the track.... awefull car though.... the pedals are stock festiva, so there is no chance of heel and toe, shifter is truck like long, engine is always hot, parts are hard to find since they were custom made, etc..........

I only put a few hundred miles on it...... the guy who bought it dumped a bunch of $ into it to run it in the onelap of america..... but i'll bet he put $15k into it.... supercharged, clutch, wheels, blew the engine... new engine.... new supercharger, etc......and he still gets beat by a turbo charged saturn.

They only made 7-8 of them..... not sure where they all are.... ugly purple is in Colorado.... #1 blue is in Iowa or somewhere....this one is in NY, Silver is Jay leno's, There was a yellow one in NJ.... he wanted $50k at first, then $40k and the last I saw it he was asking $34k obo.... ahahah

the purple one in Colorado...the guy wanted $48k or so at first....NO SALE.....

Yunisden

florida is kinda far for a test drive..... but if you get up this way, we'll see. i let the guys running dragon and FC last year include a drive in it to a raffle winner to keep from having to let everyone try it out and let me be impartial about it by only letting sweet young ladies behind the wheel. almost had to beg people to ride as a passenger on some of the sections, imagine, people wanting to drive with the people they came with instead of with me.

if you can swing getting one before 30, by all means swing away!! my 1st was a 308 at 40, do not want to think of it as a mid life crisis thing because i surely want to live past 80..... you gotta have fun driving, and when you get too old drive it hard, well, a ferrari running down the road in the left lane 20 below limit with its left turn signal on for 15 miles definitely does not look good.

even though ongoing maintenance/insurance will run you more, you can find decent 308's in the 30k range to use as a fun weekend car. with some disposable income, it makes a nice entry level car and lets you try it out for awhile without sinking too much cash into it. i traded up to a 328 2 years later, 30k tradein + 30k loan, so it still felt like only 30k out of pocket. the 360 was a bit more of a stretch, but what the heck, no wife or kids to spend money on.

Not that a 308 for $30k wouldn't make someone happy, but jeez... I would hate to sink $30k into a car that a good running CRX could smoke..... and know that getting the spark plugs changed in it would cost more than that CRX that just smoked me.

I just don't see the value of having a 25-30 year old $30k timebomb that is not even good at anything..... i think a new STI or Evo can beat any 308, 328, 348 at any performance test............

A testarossa would be a great ferrari to own....$60k V12, pretty fast, good looking, etc......$6k to get the timing belt changed????...
