Does anyone on this board own an exotic car?
Hooaahh! Nice 996 Steve! Of course it doesn't feel exotic - you can drive it whenever you want. I, on the other hand, would do some awful, awful things to get to take 'er out for a drive! Hot ass cars you don't see everyday are "exotic." Hope the Bilstiens clean up the pesky fender gap
! Nice car!
S2Kguy - I'd like to see how many people on this site think a "regular" 996 is 'cheap!' $80k is not my idea of pocket change, for if it were, I'd be driving something a helluva lot cooler than the S2k!
I also find it amusing the most expensive version of both the 996 (GT2) and 360 Modena (Challenge Stradale) give you the least!!. No AWD, no carpets, no trac control, no pwr windows, no......

hey guys, the thread is about who owns them.... i am not hung up on whether the entire population agrees on whether a 360 is exotic or not. it is all about having fun when you drive whatever you have.
challenge version is not street legal. neither is the 360 GT that is made to specs for the Grand Am cup racing.
i have the "cheap" 360, i.e. 6 speed manual, hard top.
f1 transmission adds about 12k, ragtop about 10k. same engine, performance slightly different from weight, drag, shift delays, etc.
newest street version is the challenge stradale, i think that is going for something like 40k more. has a better tuned, more powerful engine, lightened parts, race seats, etc. but still basically the same. they used a lot of the experience of the challenge series to make a hotter version for people on the street.

I base my judgement of exotic automobiles on how loud the voice inside my head is when I see one. If I saw KAMcDonald's Modena in person then I would begin breathing faster and get excited. To me that means exotic. I would feel the same way if I were to see steve c's 996TT.
