Sushi rocks PERIOD. I had a guy tell me back when I was on the dating scene that if you took a 1st date out for sushi and she actually ate it you were in for some fun....1st date sushi, now I'm married and in total bliss. In fact, took my wife out Friday to the sushi bar we went to on our first date. It was to celebrate the day I proposed to her 3 yrs ago. It was fan-freakin'-tastic!!!!

raw beef (steak Tartar), horse meat, whale meat (I'm wracked with jealousy!)-- I'm willing to try any dish once. all I need to know is: do other people eat it? is it healthy? do you have a glass of water?

if it's "yes" to all three of those, I'll bite.

anybody ever heard of baloot, from the Philippines? o yeah, that's a partially formed duckling, still in the egg, that's then cooked in the egg. (boiled alive-- don't think about that) then you crack the top open and drink the black broth (which tastes sooo good! no joke) and then, you open up the egg, and eat the duck embryo; head, beak, bones, feet, feathers and all.

sometimes the beak is kinda chewy though (like eating a big fingernail), so it's ok to spit that out.

Funny you mention that, I heard of a similar treat while dealing with the US Navy as a contractor.

I'm not even a fan of Asian food, yet I am asian. I am Americanized. I like American food. What I don't get is how is it safe to eat raw fish, or fish like things?

that dude is so on my Ignore list after his thread about him stealing cars. I was so upset about that that I did a bit of research, found out his name, got a few photos, etc. I only stopped when it came down to actually making some calls or emails to various Honda dealerships in his state. I was not-quite-ready to get him thrown in jail...

for those of you that don't know about his \"borrowing\" an S2000...

raw beef is not an usual japanese dish, rather, it's often found on korean table.

shreaded raw beef with peper paste and raw egg all mixed together.

shiet, have you seen korean people eating LIVE octopus tentacles?
they chop- off the tentacles into small pieces but it still moves around for a minitue or two,
and that's when they eat it.
the suctions sometimes get stuck on the ceiling of your mouth and that's when it gets nasty.
now THAT, i'm too scared to eat.
