Growing up in Milwaukee I caught a taste for HighLife at age 10.
For beverages in the fridge we had milk and Highlife. That's it.

Otherwise, a well-poured pint of Guinness is great with dinner.

If that's the case, even thought it's German, you would probably really like the Celebrator Dopplebock we mentioned.

- Stone Vertical Epic 04.04.04 - Brewed in a French style, with a mash tank lined with kaffir lime leaves to naturally filter the brew. Tastes of bananas. Amazing, and can be cellared for up to 11 years.
- Westvleteren Abt 12 Ratebeer.com's top rated beer. Perfectly balanced, but quite sweet. Not cheap at $8 for an 11 oz bottle.
- Duvel
- Stone 7th Anniversary Ale - Another one no longer available. The 8th anniversary brew is terrible.
- Hoegaarden
- Chimay Bleu
- Stone Levitation Ale
- Delerium Tremens
- Murphy's Irish Stout
- Rogue HazelNut Brown Nectar

I can't think of others at the moment. I also like a sub-micro brew called Craftsmen Orange Grove Ale. It's made an ex-JPL/NASA scientist. Great stuff.

Hoegarden is the shiz
I also like Asahi from Nihon, and Tiger from Spore.
As for local Aussie beer, Crownies and James Boags are good.

That's a pretty good German lager, one you can actually buy around here, though not my favorite style.

Oh, and honda606, I tasted my BSG this weekend and it is excellent. I plan on bottle conditioning a few gallons, and I'll send you some when it's ready.
