I was a warhead designer for ten years. We got to run simulations on supercomputers, build hardware using CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinders, and hydraulic presses. Then we got to go to tests and witness things getting blown up.

I'm pretty sure that qualifies as fun.

I went to school for eight years, earning a BA in business (accounting), a BA in mathematics, and an MA in mathematics. The accounting degree didn't apply much.

If I were still doing it today I'd probably be earning about $100,000 or more per year.

You want a fun job? Join the Navy and get into the aviation field. Running around on the flight deck dodging aircraft is probably the most fun you'll ever have.

(Wow, I just sounded like a recruiter.)

I was looking in to the cookie cutter jobs like Nursing, Engineering you know the drill. But someone said to get a job I would like to do for a living and if you naturally love the job then chances are you will move far and have a better chance at making money.

About me hmmm. I am a good people person but a total push-over. I actually like to exceed and push myself. My top favorite things to spend hours on end doing are talk about cars, modifying cars, playing video games, problem solving not like physically just coming up with better ideas to stuff. I can trouble shoot almost anything.

These are my dream jobs that unless you have parents that are loaded or connections you wont get.
video game beta tester
Making video games
modifying import cars. Like fixing them up not fixing problems lol.

My shit of a life is this:
I am 20. I have worked full time at the same job since 18. I live paycheck to paycheck paying bills. My fiancee has cancer and cannot work for 3-4 years. My dead end job caps out at $17/hr and takes 10 years to get that high. I am at $12.13/hr. The economy is so slow that my work tries so hard to fire people. I just every day know I need to do something I am just so damn depressed about it that I just go home and get on xbox to get away from life. My mom was murdered 3 years ago and my dad cannot afford to help at all he actually needs my help so my parents didnt really leave me any way out. And I am so confused on what to do next with my life. Sorry just venting alittle also.

Not to push the military on you, cause I know it's not for everyone, but it is probably one of the most secure jobs you can possibly have. I don't love my job to death, but it is definitely exciting and very rewarding! As for pay... I'm an E-4, have been in for 6 years. I've done the math before and after all my extra pays and housing allowance, I make about $18 an hour. This is with no college and I came in when I was 18.

I have lots of friends that stayed home, went to college, and to this day, they have a hard time holding jobs due to the economy. The only thing that is going to get me fired is doing drugs or killing someone.
