Getting fed up with satellite radio
interesting what everyone says. i only started listening to Sirius two months ago when i got my new car and 6 months free. i like it, but i really only listen to Howard and Octane. i was thinking of getting a subscription but i'm not sure if it's worth it just for my car. i've been wondering if i'd get sick of it too, just like FM radio.
still like it... hooked on Howard for years and love the stations and the diverse content, listen all day at work too.
Wish the merger meant one set of programing but it doesn't, kind of a mess.

I first signed up for XM after I bought my truck in January. I got 3 months for free. After 3 months I paid for a year of subscription for $77. I'm happy with it.
The best station to be listening to on a long trip is the Blue Collar Comedy channel.

Yup, progress.
I've been a Sirius subscriber for some 5 years. It used to be all I listened to. Commercial radio in the DC area is horrible (IMHO) and the kind of stuff I like isn't really on those stations anyway.
Then I got an iPod.
I think the only thing I listen to on Sirius anymore is CNBC. I used to listen to it over the net but you have to pay for it now.
My girlfriend has a tuner in her car and it is actually all she listens to but she does complain a lot about the poor signal strength and quality. I think if I hooked her up with a iPod interface in her 06 Civic, she would quit using it, too.
I'm with the OP. It used to be great but now... :MEH:

Just throwing this out there.... it doesnt hafta be just for your car... you can buy a stereo for your house or office that you plug the satellite radio into as well.
You know... I've tried that. Home isn't a problem but the building I work in is shielded or something. I even have a window and it is still no go. :thubmdn: I'm thinking it is the metallic tint on the windows.
