What do you guys feel about HD radio? Many local radio stations are multicasting (carrying multiple channels within the same signal)? I don't have HD radio but I've been thinking about getting one. It should surely expand your listening options. Definitely cheaper than Serius/XM w/ probably as many options (with the exception of Radio Lemans, the COmedy channel, etc.).
HD radio is ur same radio stations, commercials and all.. Yes some of them have substations that broadcast other music but its still has commercials. The thing with HD radio is if u dont have a perfect signal it will switch back to regular and it very noticable because of the delay..
Until this is improved i would nvr buy an hd radio

Wow, honestly I don't think I could do without my Sirius. I do a ton of driving and it really helps to pass the time. Jason Ellis on Faction is one of my favorites right behind Stern. I don't really have problems with reception except in long tunnels although the extra fees are getting ridiculous.

I'm somewhat surprised that satellite radio hasn't taken off, given the success of cable television, on who's model satellite radio is based. That said, I think there were a few blunders that hindered it's success.

When satellite radio was first introduced, it was offered in car stereos only, not in home stereos. Why would you want to buy a radio service that you could only use in your car? The adapters for home stereos were introduced some time later.

Also, the car stereos that were available were only "XM ready" or "Sirus ready" instead of being "satellite radio ready". When you buy a TV, you don't buy one that's "Comcast ready" or "Time-Warner ready", you buy one that's "Cable ready".

These were two blunders that I believe kept satellite radio from being as big as cable television.
