I'll stop thinking this is ridiculous when I see legislation that stops me from having to stare at the rock bars on the front/underside of 12 foot tall trucks. I fail to see how modifications to ride height (in the other directon) and attachments which defeat crumple zone designs is any less a public safety issue.

What the hell do these mods do? If it passes smog there are no gasses harming our environment.... what the hell do they want?

Oh yeah, because if the cops charge up the ass on your modified parts, that will in turn decrease deaths from street racing.... because it means your car isn't modified anymore..... even though your car doesn't have to be modified to street race....
