Oh, another thing about Cabo... it's totally infested with Timeshare Salespeople. You can either ignore them constantly or take advantage of their offers.
We signed up with one of the timeshare dudes at the airport and got a free limo ride from the airport to our hotel, a free parasailing excursion, a free booze cruise, and a free horseback riding thing (that we didn't use). We also got a free breakfast w/ unlimitied mimosas & drinks... but then we had to sit through their pitch, and then were handed off to a salesman. We weren't really sure what to do at that point, so we played the game with the sales guy a bit. Once he realize that we weren't serious, he got all pissy and just told us to leave. We would've been better off just telling him up front, I think, rather than wasting 15 minutes of our (and his) time.
We actually met a couple while we were there that only hit up the "cash only" timeshare people, i.e. the ones that offer cash instead of excursions. They get cheap flights to Cabo, camp somewhere (on the beach?), and go to enough "cash prize" timeshare seminars to cover the cost of their plane ticket and expenses. Voila! Free vacation. Personally, I wouldn't have the dedication to do that, but the way we did it wasn't bad, and it saved us $75 for the fare from the airport, plus we got about 300-400 dollars worth of free excursions (since there were 5 of us). All it cost us was about 2-3 hours of our time, and we got it out of the way the first morning that we were there, so we had the rest of the time to use the free excursions.

I'm heading to St. Lucia in Mid September for my honeymoon. We're a little weary about the hurricane season, but we're hoping for the best.
We went to Cancun last year. It is a fun place. Lots to do if you're looking to party. We stayed at one of the all inclusive hotels. They had a group of people in charge of the entertainment there. During the day, they would do all these activities near the pool. At night, they would get everyone together to go out to the clubs.
Fun times.
