Couldn't have posted anything better myself Senor

Cats actually require a lot of maintenance if you have a close relationship with them. Like raising them being a kitten.

ONE of my 3 cats rely on me to take care of them. If I put Rockstar outside and told her to kick rocks she wouldn't last 5 minutes without daddy.

^^^Very true. They can be High and Low Maintenance. I can leave for 3 days and she'll be fine in the house. That is low maintenance. I dont have to rush home to walk my cat. High maintenance is her LOVING attention. She follows me from room to room. If I go upstairs for 10min, she's right behind me.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there.

I usually see chicks with this shit:

cats are too smart to be put in those things. try it, and I guaranty they won't like it.
Chicks with little yapper dogs - somebody (read: the guy she's cheating on with you) is picking up her dog crap. Don't worry, you'll be cleaning up her dog crap in 3 months when she gets bored with you.

Chicks with cats - stop dating after a while.

Guys with dogs, are guys. We don't want them crapping on the floor, but can't help but laugh if they crap on the passed-out beer buddy.

Guys with cats: WTF?!?!?!?! Seriously, the guys I know with cats are passive aggressive. . . YMMV, but come on. . .

Exactly my point. Been there, dated that; why do I want to keep it around the house 24/7.

Chicks pee in my suitcase when I leave on business too. . .

"men" who follow a lot (not all of) of these "rules" are just insecure and probably have low self-confidence
Here's the deal:

There's following the rules for the sake of following rules. . . some people get their ya-yas off that. Watch out for them.

Other rules are their because there's a prevailing philosophy behind them.

If I had all the time in the world, I'd go back and re-write most of this list, but I wouldn't detract from the general idea. . .

I have a shitload of "rules," some of them read like this, most of them are a lot more harsh.

Rule number 1 is Dalai Lama's rule number 5: "Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly."

Once again, there's a good reason to learn the prevailing thought behind a rule. . . you may need to break it.
