If you need to carry a concealed weapon then you seriously need a better job so you can afford to move away from the ghetto.

Even nice areas have crime, never hurts to be prepared.

Just recently a girl got killed around where I live in Fairfax/Vienna, VA. If you don't know this area, most of the houses around here are the upper hundred thousands and millions. Crime happens everywhere.

EDIT: Forgot to mention she was stabbed to death around 3pm during the day and found in her car at a later time.

the Sigs are too bulky IMHO. also go with a 40 cal or 45 instead of a 9mm. More stopping power.... or go with mag safe rounds in the 9mm.

for carry, I am going with an LCP or mini DE .380 = compact and full of pep at the same time. leave the longer barrel stuff for home defense or if you are comfortable with a more bulky carry or intend to carry under the arms etc where a larger gun can live without getting in the way.

Kimber's ultra carry series are top notch IMHO for mid sized semi-autos, but they are expensive...but oh so very nice to handle and shoot.

I have had my CCW in Ohio for quite some time now. I use to carry an XD9 and loved it. The only problem I had with it was that it was a thick gun. It had a double stack magazine. I just recently purchased a Kahr CW9 and love it. Its thing and perfect for what I need it for.

In the state of AL you are not required to provide a reason why you want to have a CCW. Other states, such as NY (outside the city) not the same.

That damn 2A getting in the way
