Default Got a ticket! f***! I have a question..help

I was fooling around and was accelerating little bit fast and I see a police coming from the other side, passing by me..but he turned around and stopped me..
I was like..f***!!
he gave me 2 tickets, one for careless driving...and the other for seatbelt...but I was wearing the seatbelt when I was driving but took it off when I got pulled over...
when I got the ticket and saw it I tried to tell him but he left...(I think he heard me but ignored me..bastard!!)

should I go to court and say that I was wearing the seatbelt?? would they believe me??
also for the careless driving,, if I go to court can they reduce my points? (if I pay more??) should I just pay for the ticket and take the points?

What should I do?

Pay it off as soon as possible - they'll probably dismiss it if they see that you're responsible.

Seatbelt isn't a point and should be cheap. I'd eat that ticket and fight the other count.

my friend told me if I tell them before going to court that I'm not guilty they will assign a new court date and then when I go I can talk to the prosecutor and say I'm guilty to the judge and pay more than I can get the points off. is it true??
by the way I'm in NJ

In the past, you could goto court in NJ, talk to the prosecutor and plea an unsafe operation or something like that, no points, although it will be more $. Worked for me. Not sure on the seat belt thing...

You still can. They WILL NOT budge on the seatbelt ticket though, just eat that one.
