Graduation and then...
In two hours I will graduate! The not so elusive bachelor's degree in marketing will belong to me with honors, and I'll be on the hunt for a job.
I haven't had more than a month away from classes since high school so it's going to be strange when it sets in that I don't have to go back. My resume isn't all that bad either with companies like Target, Red Bull North America, Lightwave International, Ogilvy Action Group, and a couple other marketing firms under the belt.
But where to find a job!? I've spent hours on monster.com, careerbuilder.com, and the like, but there are literally zero entry level positions at respectable firms. The annoying part is having to sift through the postings belonging to back alley companies whom have websites more poorly put together than most kids' myspace pages.
I'd rather start in a mail room somewhere respectable than start my career off on the wrong foot with a less than premium company. I've always been able to tailor myself to be a high performer so I really just need a foot in the door to prove myself.
I'm not sure what I expect in reply, but perhaps some of the many established professionals on s2ki could lend some words of wisdom...
...or maybe a job offer

Start going to cocktail parties with employed people. Golf. Volunteer for Junior Achievement. Work pro bono for reputable charities to build your portfolio of work (until you get hired elsewhere). . .
In this market, you have to know people - hustle LinkedIn and Facebook too.

Knowing people is definitely the key.
Particularly with marketing--this field can be more subjective than many others, which can make it very difficult to rate you based solely on your resume. Though, it sounds like you've got some good companies on your resume.
Network, Network, Network. Especially with today's economy. You're more competitive when you've got a face to the resume.
