GUNS!

You ask me if I'd protect myself with a firearm if someone was trying to kill me. I answered. Should I be more specific?
OK, if I was out hunting carrying my shotgun, and a guy came up and tried to rob me, I'd point the gun at him and pump a round in the chamber and tell him to get lost. If that didn't work, I'd beat him with the stock until he cried uncle, then walk him to his car and tell him to stop being a prick. Or, just give him the meager amount of cash I might be carrying in the woods, and let it go. Certainly nothing worth taking a life over. Satisfied? If I wasn't hunting or shooting, I wouldn't have a firearm, so It's a silly question. And long ago I matured enough to stop pretending I'd mow down a whole platoon and be a national hero over a stinking wallet.

Sorry if you didn't understand my answer when it didn't consist of a simple "I'd shoot him dead."

Get this.

Not many were brought back from WWII. And even few were registered.
Only states that allow a full auto permit will let you have one. (legally)
Good luck finding brass in 7.92 kurtz. (short 8mm.)
Seen only a few in gun shows in Reno, and Las Vegas. (they were not for sale)
That is the first of the modern type assualt rifles.

That would be the proper thing to do. Being jumped probably isn't the right time to discharge a firearm. How many people are fired upon when being jumped? Very few. Criminals don't typically want to shoot you.. they just want your money.
Find a CZ-75 9mm and buy it. They are under $500 new and are almost the gold standard anywhere outside the USA. Mine has about 3000 rounds with a single jam, which only happened after no cleaning for almost 800 rounds. Balance and feel are MUCH better than the Glocks most people will try to push on you. It's just a tad heavy for daily carry.

^LOL at the presidente.
carry guns need to be thought out very well.
1.buy a few gun mags, do some research.
2.go to gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com to see what current prices are (without regard to location).
3. go to a rental range and try out guns on your list and get info on ownership requirement/limitations
4.buy one locally to establish a relationship with a local gunshop (after this you can buy guns online without too much hassle)
5.train
6.train
7.train
8. repeat steps 5-7 again.
my favorites:
1911 - flat comfy and quick shooting. points very naturally
kahr k40 elite - small, fast shooting
229 - best sig out there

My favorite television show is 24. Two seasons ago, Bauer had a Sprint Treo PDA so I had my secretary order me one. Last season, Bauer had a Sig Sauer SP 2022 so I had her order that for me too.
I just need to get my concealed weapons permit now and a shoulder holster.
