Which handgun would you buy?

I've never fired a Glock so I can't make a comparison, but I just picked up the HK USP compact and I love it. Much better than the S&W .40 that I had.

Why on earth do you think handgun sales will be outlawed in the future?

Do you plan on letting the federal government and United Nations run your life?

No....good answer.

With that said get the Glock 23. Personally I would go with the Glock 22 unless the gun was specifically for concealed carry which you really didn't clarify. If it was for self-defense in the home I would go with the 22.

gee guys, jumping in on this forum, but seeing this really quite scares me. sure such hand guns are used here illegally, but for the main in the minority (if we exclude ireland's & Spains terrorist based activties over the last 25years).

Just wondering what percentage of crimes in the US have guns involved? and further, how many deaths are atrributed to guns, crime or not?

USP Match. If anyone out there can get a good deal on one, let me know.

I would go for a Glock or one of the Mid frame/compact frame Smiths like the CS40. Definitely go Glock though if you want something reliable with high capacity and easy to shoot.

I'd pick the Glock 23 out of those choices but I prefer the bigger holes of the 10mm Glock 20.

Neil -

I think the better question may be - "How many of you on the board with handguns have committed crimes with your weapons?"

I would bet the answer would be zero.

Should responsible gun owners suffer because of criminals? If one were to take that line of thinking further - then maybe the actions of some irresponsible punks in fast cars might prevent you from owning a high performance vehicle such as the S2000 in the future.

If you are sold on .40, I would suggest the G23.
I find the 19, which is the same size (in 9mm) very comfortable to carry and is ultra reliable. I have 35,000 rounds through the 19 and have had one failure to fire due to a bad remington umc cartridge in those 35k rounds.
Glocks arent pretty, but mine goes bang every time.
