I hope you are seriously joking about this... because it is a federal offense to make a threat like that.

Yippie! A Choose "my" gun Thread! I Have a Glock 23 and a Glock 17 both are the most well built and accruate handguns made. I have both with night sights and Hogue Grips. You Must get Hogue Contour Grip! They're so easy to clean.

There use to be a demo video of a sand, mud, water test they put Glocks through and these things just GO! Anyway, Glock all the way.

I have had one for a while. I carry a S&W 457 .45 daily (Shoulder holster if I am carrying more than one gun or Inside the pants holster if it is my primary carry weapon) and usually a compact 9mm S&W CS9 as backup (IWB). If the SHTF in a big way I can use them fight my way back to the car where the serious hardware is (Bushmaster M4 and folding stock Mossberg 500). If I am headed to the East side of Detroit I usually grab my bulky jacket and my Cobray M11 as well (mac-10 clone) with laser sight and keep it under my coat on an assault sling.

The M4 and the Mossberg stay in the trunk when I am out and about since those would be really hard to carry around without getting a WHOLE LOT of attention If I am wearing a button up shirt and carrying the 9 and the .45 I put on a t-shirt, then my shoulder holster and then the button up shirt over it. If I am just carrying one (usually the .45) I can conceal it in an Inside the Waistband Holster (IWB) under just a t-shirt if I wear it untucked. You have to shop for clothes with carrying in mind and generally get your pants one to two inches larger in the waist to accomodate the gun.

I don't think anyone has really noticed, at least no one has said anything, and most people don't pay close enough attention to the people around them to notice those things anyway. When my GF gives me a hug sometimes she will say "It is hard to hug you around your guns" but that is about the extent of the comments I receive. Even if someone did happen to see it print through my shirt or something like that, CCW's are getting pretty common where I live thanks to the "shall issue" law that went into effect a while back. It is nice now because I am legal to carry in 21 states through reciprocity rather than having to get a seperate permit for every state I visit. If I have to bend to pick something up I always bend at the knee and make sure I reach with my left hand so as not to print or expose the gun on my right hip. If I have to reach over my head I always tuck the end of my shirt under the holster clip slightly so I can feel the shirt tug if I am about to expose my weapon. Under a baggy jacket the M11 disappears even with the 32 round magazine in it. It stays tucked under my right armpit. Not 100% comfortable to carry, but definitely manageable as it is usually just carried for short periods of time.

There are restrictions on places that you can carry. No schools (however the parking are is ok if you are dropping off or picking up your kids), no bars or anywhere that gets more than 50% of its profit from on premises alcahol sales (so applebees, Lone star or any bar/restaurant is ok but not the local booty club), no churches, sports arenas, casinos, courthouses or college classrooms. 45 states now allow their citizens the right to carry and the fight is still going to get the remaining 5 to give their citizens the right to protect themselves as well. Of that 45 though, only 32, if I remember correctly, are "shall issue" states. Meaning that you don't need to prove to the courts why you need a license to carry a weapon, they need to prove that there is a reason that you can't before they can deny you. We are still fighting to get the other states to loosen their restrictions on carry. Right now in some states you have to be a celebrity or have enough money to grease the right palms to get a license. Apparently they believe that a celebrities life or someone who makes 7 figures per year is more valuable than yours or mine. The fight is still going on in Ohio, Missouri and Wisconsin right now to get concealed carry approved, hopefully that will be resolved soon.

A good site to check out for carry laws is www.packing.org

Because shooting the president is a crime, just like making threats or encouraging others to. Perhaps its good that you cant own guns....sounds like you shouldnt have them.

Well thanks for the feedback everyone. I went to the range today and fired the hk, glock, sig, and a springfield. I ended up going for the hk. the only thing i wasn't entirly happy with was the amount of trigger pull, but i suppose i will get used to it. It was very ergonomically friendly.
