Not trying to tell y'all how to keep your guns, but a Glock is perfectly safe to carry/store with a round in the chamber. See also this guide which applies in some ways:

http://www.sightm1911.com/lib/tech/cockedandlocked.htm

There is this possible use of racking the slide as an aural "warning shot", like the universally understood sound of a pump action 12-guage (the one thing we really can thank Hollywood for). Many tacticians will be wary of the value of such that strategy. For a 12-ga with ample preparation, I think it is probably a good strategy. Using your voice and motion-activated lights may be just as effective. But I don't think you should keep the Glock that way because you think it is safer with regard to possible accidental discharge. Probably a lot of others will pick up on this (wdavis is quoting pfb I think).

That's what I love about the P7 - it's always ready to go and every pull is a decent single action pull...

I don't seem to be very good at shooting it sideways homie style though...

If so many people in the US have guns, why has nobody shot Bush yet?

Not legally, anyways...

I like the video of that gal hanging on the fence @ the Palace.

I hope you are seriously joking about this... because it is a federal offense to make a threat like that. The secret service takes things like that very very seriously.

**edit** i was going to write this entire thing about Bush, war.. but i just realized, that it would get this thread locked.. so i will keep my mouth shut...

But back to the Gun topic....
Does anyone have a conceal weapon's permit?
