Yes, the FEW games they have are good.

Most people (game magazines, online game sites, etc) agree that the 360's game library is A LOT better than the PS3's. Sony has not come through with that part of the promise so far.
True, the XBox 360 has a better game library, but they did have a year ahead of the PS3. 2008 is looking pretty good for the PS3 with many good titles coming out, so the PS3 has a really good chance of coming ahead. Also, I don't know how Microsoft does quality control, b/c all my friends who own XBox 360s had to send them back to get it fixed due to the "ring of death "

Plus, a lot of the major games on 360 are/will be out on PC as well (in case anyone without a 360 wants to play, aka me)

2008 is going to be a great year for ps3 owners!

The 360 definetly has a bigger and better selection of exclusive games for it.

360
Bioshock
Halo 3
Mass Effect
PGR4
Forza 2
Ace Combat 6
Gears of War

PS3
Uncharted
Resistance
Ratchet & Clank

I have both now that i just picked up a PS3 and i'm glad i waited 360 was def a better buy for me right away because it had more games I wanted to play.

PS3 looks like it might have atlest the same # of exclusive titles hot titles this year GT5 plus now there is a decent amount of blu ray movies to choose from.

All in all they are both great systems i give the gaming nod to 360 but build quality typical american crappy rings of death.

PS3 a little slow out the gates but good build quality and a bargain for a hi def video enthusiast.

Great blu ray player that you can play games on or good gaming system that you can watch great looking movies on depending on the consumer buying it

You left a couple off on your PS3 list, like Motorstorm, but I totally agree that the 360 not only has a better catalog but the graphics in those games meet or beat the PS3. At least we have controller vibration coming.

Nobody cares that the PS3 is younger. Yeah, awesome PS3 programming is sure to appear just in time for the next generation of console...

The PS3 will have a life of 10 years, it's very early. Microsoft will have to go onto the PS3 level with its next "generation" system or it will be rough for them when they start using the PS3s full power and all the space on the Blu-Ray Disks.

The ps3 hardware is much more advanced then the 360 plus it has all the space you would want on its discs (15gb vs 50gb). Give it some time until companies like Square to use the ps3's power to its fullest extent.

Oh well, it just means higher prices when bluray wins and no more competition.

I understand the sentiment but what happens when Microsoft comes out with that next-gen box and it is as PC-like and easy to program as the XBox is now? Sony gets owned, that's what happens.

Ten year life for the current PS3? Pass that crack pipe!

PS2 came out in 1999 and games are still coming out for it now in 2008. A 10 year life for the PS3 is very possible.

Well the PS2 if I remember correctly is on an 8 year life span. SONY still today produces PS2 and backs it up 100%.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you but there is no crack pipe, just facts. I'm on the inside so you won't get rumors.

Microsoft or any other can throw whatever they want at SONY but the Playstation name is here to stay just like Nintendo (the actual leader in this race).

Microsoft is going to have to retire if things don't improve in their camp. Reliability is a huge issue for them. I do give them a great library but in a year SONY will over shadow them. A year head start in consumer electronics is a lot.

Someone mentioned something about everything being more expensive now that Blu-Ray won... Well I prefer to pay $30 for a Blu-Ray (which is worth it) than $30 for an HD DVD (which is not worth it) If they would of sold the HD DVD for $20 like they should because the cost of production is much lower I would bow to them but they were just making larger profits than the competition being an inferior product. Yes I know the quality in picture and everything else is comparable but their tech behind it is cheap.
