Ehhh actually in 'Heat' Pacino sports an all stainless steel Bulgari Chrono... not the rubber one...

I checked the seikowatches.com website yesterday (just adding some information regarding my earlier post) and noticed that the Seiko Kinetic watches get as high as $2500 USD. I realize the watches may not have as good a movement as the "high dollar brand name" ones, but these things are definitely a technical marvel AND not many people have them - they stand out a LOT. I stand by my choice, especially considering you're getting the "flagship" model from Kinetic as opposed to, say, the "base model" of many of the others.

Hey Mindcore, what Olympics is your Seiko from? I have the '92 Seiko Olympic. The one with the dancing hands feature.

For those that don't know, it was the first watch to have independantly moving hands and to show it off they built in a demo mode. Hold both buttons for 2 seconds and the hour, minute and second hand do a dance. Really impresses drunk girls.

Wontone thats it thats the watch I want, its not a skeloton but man is that pretty, now I just got to find one. My biggest concern will be finding a true rolex, I have seen some of the fakes and man are they good, I can still tell from up close when they are tring to replicate something with jewels or a overly ornate face but some of them are just killer. Any clue how much a explorer 1 goes for retail.

If not I will find out soon. I did learn some things about skeletons though, first and formost some of the upper end watches just are not built for everyday use, dress is fine take them to the office is ok but they are not for everyday events, plus they need to be serviced, I service my own car for some reason I don't think I can service my own watch. :-)

I think that i would really like to get something that I will be able to hand off years down the road so I am not really restricting myself right now of price. But I need to know what you guys spent on some of your watches. Not in doller amounts but more along the lines of rings, how many weeks months salery s approprite. I really want something that is really classically styled so I am still off to look.

Stormbringer,
I came across a skeleton watch that's quite affordable. It is from a company called "Epos." Price is around $1,350.00. It is called the: Epos Skeleton. It has an ETA automatic movement with roman numerals on the outer part of the face. I don't know much about this brand or watch, but it might be something that you're looking for. I'll keep you updated.

what is a skeleton watch.
i got a tag heuer automatic, i think 1000 series, got it a while ago as my everyday work watch, starting to lose time badly even though i got it fixed twice. i recommend tag as a good all purpose watch.
