So was the popular guy a prick or was he just guilty of being popular?

theres lots to be said about humility. IMO, i'd rather have done alot of good in my life and get no recognition in the end, than to have recognition for what very little i did (made to look like a lot more)...
i never like the popular ppl... i always thought that they'd end up not fairing too well in life since they're so stuck up and full of themselves...

The popular guy (Scott Zellem) was a really good guy. Always pretty friendly. He was a big guy, played Navy football, stayed in the Navy to fly jets, flew over Iraq apparently. He was one of the pilots who flew President Bush on his way to the aircraft carrier "Mission accomplished", so he was one of those guys that got places quickly..... and he deserved it..... so I can understand some of the activity with his death.....

But....It is just amazing the level of activity over his death vs absolutely nothing for the other guy. The other guy (Tim Shock) got 2 emails worth (plus my two)...plus this thread.

I guess that is why lots of people show up to Movie Stars funerals vs the typical funeral having 20 people there.....

thats so sad.. a lot of people can't let go of the "popular" status from high school and live their entire life based off of who they were in high school.
so true... so true...

i still see some of the "popular" girls i went to high school with every now and then at parties. they still drink wine coolers and giggle like dumb shits after a couple of 'em. worst of all, they still talk down to me the way they did in high school.

i love seeing them when i'm the s2000 though... haha. how do you like your 2001 civic lx now?

most of our society values athleticism/charm/good looks over having a good heart. why do you think we're so interested in worthless people like paris hilton...? it's hard to explain, but it's life.

I was a bully in High School I wouldn't go back unless I had a security detail with me and they started my car via remote. Gotta figure I sent a buttload of people into theraphy.

Plus seeing girls I dated at their prime and seeing them now geezered up would suck.
