How did you meet your significant other?

We were great friends in high school (best friends). Hung out with the same crowd but never dated. Summer after high school (1973) she was dating one of our friends, but I would see her often because of our summer jobs. As summer was getting over, we stood next to the lake, very close - I gave her a hug and said good bye & went off into the big world (as we looked back on this scene we both now say we wanted to kiss but didn't).
We both went our ways she married the guy she was dating & I eventually also got married. We used to send a letter to each other about once every six months, telling about our lives & children. She got a divorce & I got a divorce. I was going to a business meeting close to her house called & we went out (1992). A little over a year later we were married. We've been married 10 years now (still best friends).
Both of our parents asked after we were married how come we never dated in high school as they both thought we should have.

I met my girlfriend at a wedding party downstairs from the one I was attending. I am not really the outgoing type but a friend of mine convinced me into crashing the other party so I went along. My girlfriend and her friends came over to talk to us for a little bit and then I asked her to dance. After that I asked her for her # and she gives me her email address instead. Well just for kicks I emailed her to see if she was just blowing me off, turned out she didn't wan't to give me the # because she thought I was 17(24 at the time). 2 years 3 months later we are still together.
