Chicken is actually protein. Stuff like bread, potatoes, pasta, and rice are carbs. If you're trying to bulk up, consume a lot of leaner forms of protein, like white chicken, fish, or steak with fat cut out.

Actually, that is what you want to eat if you're trying to get cut (low fat, high protein).

Typical cycle (important word) tends to be a balanced high carb with protein diet and low rep high weight period (pyramids are good) followed by a high protein low fat diet and higher rep weight period combined with aerobic work. The former will build bulk (carbs for energy, enough protein to build muscle) while the latter then gets you lean.

And chicken is a crappy form of protein - stick to turkey or tuna.

Oh, and skip anything that is a desicant (that dehydrates you). While this will actually drop your weight short term (water DOES weigh something after all) it will not work long term and will likely result in injury (tendons and ligaments are mostly water, without water they become brittle).

Lots of reps, lighter weights, and even 30 second intervals between sets to get cut and toned... it's not that simple, Steve.

Genetics play a large part in what you're going to get. Then you work with what your body type is and try to get the results you want. It's tough to fight against big bones and thick skin. It's very difficult to look like The Rock if you are skinny and light to begin with especially as a full grown adult.

If Bruce Lee decided to stop working out, I have a feeling he would've gotten skinnier unless he just totally raided the fat bin. If The Rock decided to stop working out, I have a feeling he'd have a sizable gut.

It's a matter of how bad you want it. There are a lot of guys who I've seen at the gym for years and they look the same today as they did way back when. There are only a handful that have shown solid results.

Right now it's a steady regimine of lifting cheeseburgers and hotdogs to my mouth. But in the past, I was on the "Body for Life" regimine and loved it.

I plan to get back on it right after my engagement party July 14th...look into it

Oh
I think that would come as quite a suprise to most bodybuilders. Take a read of any top pro's daily diet and you can beat your ass there is a whole lot of chicken in it. Turkey and tuna are great as well but most professional builders get most of their protein from Chicken.
