How to keep money out of a marriage
Hypothetical Question: Let's say I have $100k and I want to get married soon. What is the best way to keep that money, so if a divorce comes then it won't be a marriage asset? IRA, Buy a house, Swiss bank account?
Note: I live in NJ. I don't have gf or plan to get married anytime soon. I also don't have $100k.

Depends on what state you're in. Meet with a male-advocate divorce/family attorney to discuss your options.
In California, she'll need to sign it (F U Barry Bonds!) and after 10 years, the prenup dissolves and defers to community property.
Have fun - I lost a fiancee because of this (blessing in disguise).

There are 2 ways of doing it.
1. You can be upfront about it and let her know that you have the money and it's your money and if a divorce were to happen she wouldn't see any of it. You'd have to make her sign a prenup.
2. Keep quite about it and hide it. Cayman bank account, swiss bank accounts, bury it in your backyard, etc.
If you think she'll sign a prenup, go with option 1. If you don't think she'll sign it go with option 2. WORD OF CAUTION: You can only do one or the other. You can't make her sign a prenup and have hidden assets, as that will nullify the prenup.
Edit: If you do go the prenup route, make sure that she has her own attorney look over it. She will have to pay for the attorney out of her own funds. If you were to choose an attorney for her, or pay for the service, she could eventually claim in divorce court that she didn't understand the prenup and she was tricked into signing it which may nullify it as well.
